III. The Global Hierarchies

The global hierarchies are also three-tiered, but the cultures are drawn entirely from political peoples. In the ancient age of historical childhood, associated with male roots and the creed of race, the political and economic positions of the hierarchy were occupied by European cultures, while the middle social slot was occupied by a secondary male-rooted Eastern culture. In the medieval age of historical youth, associated with female roots and the creed of religion, the political and economic positions were occupied by Eastern cultures, while the social slot was occupied by a secondary female-rooted European culture. In the modern age of historical adulthood, associated with unisexual roots and the creed of reason, all the three positions in the hierarchy are meant to be occupied by the Universals. History, however, unfolded differently.

The Globals

Modern age Medieval age Ancient age
Political Millennials Mughals Macedonians
Social Americans Franks Egyptians
Economic English Arabians Israelites

We find that in the modern age, the economic and social positions of the hierarchy are occupied by people of European stock : the English and the Americans. The world did not evolve the historically modern-rooted people of the Universal stock to occupy these two positions.

Human history contains two pre-modern ages - the medieval and ancient – and one modern age. There is, therefore, a two-to-one historical asymmetry : an imbalance of the presence of cultural realities and representations. And the effect of this on the modern age has been its historical atavism, or regression, which has caused a crisis of identity of the modern world.

This reality is reflected in the discrepancy of the global hierarchy in the modern age : the medievally atavistic English became the predominant industrial imperialist – imperialism being a prominently medieval phenomenon. While the anciently atavistic Americans emerged as the foremost industrial militarist - militarism relates particularly to the ancient age, where warring was a way of life.

Here a question arises as to why both the atavistic positions in the hierarchy had to be occupied by two Western cultures, instead of being divided between a male-rooted Western culture and a female-rooted Eastern culture. The atavistic crisis of history as reflected in the unavailability of unisexual-rooted people for the modern age global hierarchy is essentially biological/racial in nature. And as race is associable with male roots, so it came to be people of that reality who embodied the two atavistic positions of the hierarchy. Nevertheless, it is observed that the medievally atavistic English have produced more politically powerful women than the anciently atavistic Americans, because of the medieval-female roots association.

Enlightenment of identity comes only through a crisis of identity. Enlightenment happens from both within the crisis – evolutionarily, and in the resolution of the crisis – as an evolutionary event. Just as with the crisis of the modern world, its enlightenment is reflected in the global hierarchy. With the English, enlightenment comes from within the crisis – through their language : English is the language of enlightenment. With the Americans, enlightenment is in the resolution of the crisis - through the application of physical logic : involving the understanding of the universe, its spacetime structure, and the nature of its past and implication for its future

Finally, enlightenment through life itself is to happen through the evolutionary emergence of the Millennials.

One significant aspect of the global hierarchy is the India connection. The two pre-modern political cultures of the hierarchy have optimally reflected the creeds of their respective historical ages in relation to India : the ‘racial’ Macedonians raided north-western India in the ancient age; the ‘religious’ Mughals ruled from central India in the medieval age. From this geographically eastward movement of history, it may be inferred that the ‘rational’ Millennials are to be revealed from north-eastern India in the modern age.
